WWI BRITISH HALES NO. 20 MK1 RIFLE GRENADE INERT RESIN and METAL REPLICA
This is our Museum Quality INERT reproduction of a WW1 British No. 20 Mk1 Hales Rifle Grenade. It has 3 parts:
a metallic resin fragmentation body cast upon a metal rod, a brass colored detonation cap and a brass pin and ring. The original No. 20 Mk1 was a simplified version of the No.3 MkII rifle grenade. The No.3 featured a brass wind vane safety which proved to be expensive and difficult to manufacture. The No. 20 Mk1 solved this by using a sliding release socket that was as safe as the wind vane, but more economical to produce.
This is a good alternative to carrying your expensive and heavy original into the field, or a Museum Quality display piece. This replica was cast in a silicone mold so it holds all of the detail of the original from which the mold was made. It is cast in a gray resin and coated with a metal filler, to give this reproduction a metallic "sheen".
