This replica is of the small but famous WWI German Mle.1917na Egg Grenade. It was cast from an actual grenade and measures about 2"x4". It is a good alternative to carrying your expensive and heavy original into the field, or an excellent display piece. The grenade was cast in a silicone mold so it holds all of the detail of the original. It is cast in a black resin and coated with a metallic filler, to give it a metal "sheen". THIS IS A RESIN PIECE, IT WAS NOT, NOR COULD IT EVER BE CONVERTED INTO AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE, IT IS PLASTIC.
